What is an Artistic Medium?

In this portion of the website, I'd like to provide some personal definitions that I believe adequately characterize what we call an artistic medium. Here I want to stress that these definitions and theories are all just as I said: personal. My goal with this section is not to tell you what to think about media; it is simply to get you to think about media at all. If something I write fascinates you, I want you to think about why. If something feels off, I'd like you to do the same. Overall, as long as you approach the following pages with an interpretive eye, I'll be more than satisfied.
